In cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), we believe that our experiences, both early and later in life, shape the way we view ourselves, the world and the future.
We know that the way we think in and about any given situation has an impact on how we feel and on what we do. However, some of the strategies we develop to help us deal with difficult experiences and feelings, may inadvertently keep our problems going or make them worse. Therefore, it is important to address all aspects of experience, that is thinking, feeling and behaviour.
